Picked this up Saturday, I got it hook up late today and turned a small garden fer the neighbor. It werked rite good alto to me not and good as a flatbotton but rite much EZ'er to pull.
it wuz advertised as a dearborn but turned out to B a fergi. The guy has a few fergi cultivators and a Dearborn or fergi pull type harrow but I will wait'em out a few weeks and see if I kin git the price down.

I thought I had seen them all but that is the first plow like that I've seen. I have used and repaired the Ford, Seico and Dearborn disc plows. I have plowed a million acres with one behind an 8N tractor. I too have never seen one with scalloped discs but can see how they would be much better.

The biggest beef I have with the disc plows is their tendency to steer the tractor sideways but this can be somewhat corrected by angling the plow by turning the draw bar so the plow acts like the rudder on a boat. The offset in the draw bar is designed just for that.

I bet the guy who designed that plow used to make bombs in WW2.

Those scalloped discs threw me 2, I set it up like i would a flatbottom and it pulled well with no pull.

Hobo,
Nice find!
I've seen several disc plows before but never one with the scalloped discs. I wonder if they've been changed along the way.
I agree that the disc plow doesn't do as pretty a job as a moldboard plow but they are real good for rocky, rooty soil that will cause a moldboard to hang up.
Here is a photo of how she'll look after you get it restored. From the implement photos here at YT
