I'm considering buyng an 8N with an Everett trencher on it. I don't want the trencher - it's humongous and in poor condition. Is it a wise decision to leave it behind (price is the same with or without trencher)?

The tractor does have the Everett auxiliary trans on it. I though it was broken until I noticed the slight movement of the tires in first gear at idle! 93 to 1!

Does anybody want this trencher?

I would be interested in the trencher depending on the price and location. Let me know where it is and how much you want for it.

The 'Everett Trencher' is actually 98:1 and I have 5 of them on my place for 3 different models. They are 'bullet-proof' and I'll buy ANY I can find for the right price.

Get it.

Where exactly is THIS one?

I should have mentioned, this trencher is in southern Arizona. (Casa Grande, 85222).

Shipping would be outrageous for this thing. If anyone wanted it, pickup would be the only option, I think. Also, the transmission won"t go with it.

As it stands now, the owner is going to keep it and scrap it after it"s removed from the tractor. If anybody seriously wants to come get it, let me know and I"ll save it. I will give it away to whoever wants it.

Scrap It?? That thing would be the Hit at a Tractor Show! Scrappin' it would be INSANE! Like entering a cherry (valuable classic car) in a demolition derby! If it wasn't located out in flyover country, I'd be interested! Take it & save it! Some one will get it! Or sell it on Ebay, someone will be glad 2 get it! BUT, DON't Scrap it!!

Looks cool and I sure could use it, but I don't think I would have the balls to use it.

It is nice to see something that tells you that there are limits to what you'll try and operate. I've never seen anything so scary. I sent a copy of the trencher picture a friend of mine and he called it "farmer porn."

I am convinced that an N-series ford is afraid of nothing, man beast or machine. It is this operater in the seat that gets the woollies at times, like when mowing close to the pond edge.
