Does anybody know where I can get a wiring diagram for a 1942 9n Ford with a cutout and a resister? I"ve got an IT Manual but its not very good! It covers 9n, 2n and 8n and is not real specific about any one. I"ve got a new amp. meter on it and a guy told me I can"t use it on a negative ground and that it must be like the original which is an inductive type rather than a 2 terminal setup??? Can anyone help?

Thanks

Ray

Ray..... ...always thought the I&T FO-4 9N/2N wiring "pictorial" was a pretty good. You should see some of the missle and aircraft wiring schematics I've had to read. Even my Dodge Cummins Diesel is a SOB and it don't even have sparkies; I'm still looking for my radio dashboard lights wiring. The early frontmount 8N pictorial has the correct wire color codes. Just ignore the 2-terminal roundcan solenoid operated 8N starter and 3-wire genny with 4-wire squarecan voltage regulator. Sparkies and ignition are the same with 2N/9N's..... ...Dell

Guy gave you a bum steer with that neg ground stuff. You can wire up the post-type meter. Just cut the wire and terminate them on the posts. If it reads backwards then swap the wires on the posts.
