Hi Roland,

If I am not mistaken, the 3600 has a control knob on the right side of the lift cover, just under the seat, that can increase or decrease the speed of the lift. If the knob is not broken off, it should have an arrow pointing toward the faster or slower direction. You might try that adjustment before you go any further. There are 2 quadrant controls on the 3600, one for draft (inner)and one for position control (outer). Keep the draft lever in the down position unless you are plowing. Use the position control for lift operation.

Also, if it is indeed a Ford 3600, it should have a hydraulic oil filter on the engine driven hydraulic pump that you can change. If you decide to change the filter you will need to add about a quart of Ford 134 hydraulic fluid; no bleeding is necessary, just remove the old filter and install the new one. HTH. Rick H. Ga.

To thick of oil, too thin of oil, not enough oil in resevoir,ice/water in oil, plugged filter/strainer a restriction in the suction line,a malfunctioning valve or a worn out pump.. But this time of year I would say ice/water in oil stopping up the filter/strainer.Look for milky looking fluid.
