It's my 1951 8N.
In the service manual, this has a MS TSX241 carb.
In the YTC parts lists, I see rebuild kits for TSX241A, B, C, etc, but not for straight TSX241.
I dunno what's on the tractor, and if it keeps behaving, I don't care, but I'm a little concerned about the part number issue when the day comes that I have to tear it down.
SO, the question is whether the parts lists on the site are just missing the no-letter version, or was my original carb some kind of dead end?
On a slightly related note, my fuel flow was about 3 ounces in 2 minutes, so I'll be cleaning/replacing filters. When I pulled the elbow fitting, there is HAIR sticking out through the mesh in the filter! No idea how it got there, looks fine like cat fur. I should find a museum that collects oddball stuff and send it to them.
The other filters? Won't know until the tank drains into the jerry can. After an hour, it looks like the level in the tank has gone down a LITTLE . . .trickle, trickle, trickle . . .
