What would one pay for lights like these if they are original not aftmk.

they are about $50 each at yesterdays tractors for aftermarket. At least 50- 75 dollars each for originals is not unheard of. .

There's not really a huge difference. Some may want to be as original as possible, but I've not found that market yet, a few, bur not many. I've restored many sets of T-O-L headlights, both TAURUS and DUOLAMP tails, and Implement Lamps, but they took forever to sell. I've been sitting on restored lights for years, just don't list them anymore. The value is hard to pinpoint. It is whatever someone is willing to pay. Dennis Carpenter repops them exact-as-original and you virtually cannot tell the difference from the outside. Carpenter makes the TAURUS tail light now as well, used from 1939 thru 1949, has made the DUOLAMP tail since the beginning, the Tract-O-Lite headlights, and the 8N-15500 Implement Lamp with both the frosted ring lamp or the dimpled lamp. Yours has a later sealed beam lamp. CM HALL was the only Ford approved supplier for the worklight. The lamps have "TRACT-O-LITE" and the FORD script logo on the glass lens. Every part supplier in town buys from Carpenter and marks them up at a percentage for resale. Carpenter is licensed by Ford, owns some of the original tooling to repop parts, and no one else does it. There are cheaper lights made and sold, but none are exact as the originals other than Carpenters. You have a very nice 8N -nicely done restoration. I think I detect original hat rims. Just one bit of constructive criticism -the steering wheel acorn nut should ba cad plated -can get the Silver-Cad paint from Eastwood Products, and the spokes should be painted black, not red.

i think a lot of it is the tractors use, most N series, NAA, and hundred series tractors are not restored down to having the correct original nuts and bolts ect then trailered around to shows, there just to handy , fords are for the most part restored, or referbished, then put to use, for lites, if it lites up, it will do , virtually anything gets stuck on them, ive got aftermarket lites on my jubilee as i do nite work and just need to see, restored original lites need to be saved, some fords do hit the show circuit, but not as many as other brands without a 3 point hitch

Dennis Carpenter sells exact reproductions of the rear work lamp with the correct bulb (unlike the bulb in the photo) for $100, and the taillight for $39.50, so certainly no more.
