NAA 12V Wiring Diagram

I have a 1954 NAA Jubilee that had been converted to 12V by the previous owner. He also replaced the ignition switch to a key instead of the push button ignition. I would like to change it back to using the push button.

I have all the manuals and a few DVDs, but I recently moved and haven't been able to figure out where I put them.

Does anyone have a guide to fixing the push button starter and a wiring diagram for the 12V conversion?

Thanks!

jdaher, do a search for JMOR's wiring diagrams or pictograms. You will find just what you're looking for. Good for you, wanting to put the starter button back into service. You will need a solenoid that is ground activated rather than battery activated. You can keep the ignition switch if you want, or replace it with an OEM 2 wire switch.
BTW is Daher your last name? I had a good friend with that last name. He passed many years ago.

Thanks! Here is the wiring diagram I found if anyone else comes across this post

Yes, Daher is my last name. My father emigrated from Lebanon to the US in the 70s. I have never actually met a Daher that wasn't related to me.

You do know you have both a key switch and the neutral safety starter switch button right? I suspect your definition of a "push button" is not the OEM one located on the top of the shifter cover as shown in the picture to the left of the "R". Don't muck around with cheap imitations/shortcuts. The neutral safety starter switch was designed for a purpose -to keep you alive so the tractor won't accidentally start in gear. The ignition key switch is an important part of the electrical system, don't alter it with a toggle switch or other facsimile.

Yes, that is what I am trying to switch the tractor back to. The neutral safety starter switch is what I meant when I said push button starter.

The safety switch is still there, but the previous owner must have bypassed/rewired and just put an key starter like on a lawn mower.

My friends name was Mike Daher. His folks lived between So. San Francisco and San Mateo, Calif. I never met them, but Mike told me they were from Lebanon.

As I said before, these tractors use both a key switch and the neutral safety starter switch button. When starting, sit in seat, depress the clutch pedal, ensure gear is in the neutral position, turn the key to "ON" position, choke in, throttle up slightly, 1/8 or so, then press the starter button with your thumb. The OEM key switch has two wires. See wiring schematic on how it is correctly connected.
