I only got a couple of pictures before the owner showed up.
We talked about it a bit, he was asking $1550 for it.
I think he told me the serial number was 1442 but I couldn't read it.

As you can see, single piece dash, start button in the dash.
There were two empty holes on each side of the dash.
One of them may have been for the idiot light. Not sure.
Dipstick on the top of the transmission.

Two rib fenders cut off at the brackets fore and aft on the right,
aft end only on the left fender. Front end of that fender was good.
Front steering grease zerks were on the front side of the spindles.

Wrong hood and grill, later style with the flip up gas tank cover.
Rear hubs/axles were riveted, not smooth. 2N generator with adjuster.

Good looking 28's on the rear on fairly new 6 loop rims.
Truck tires and rims welded to the original rims on the front.

The Love still had the dealer stickers on the faded paint.
6 cylinder flat head. The only obvious recent work was new plug wires.

Royce, you should have shelled out the cash for that one. I'll bet you'd be the only one on your block with one! That's weird looking. Tractors don't usually need to be streamlined like the old Chrysler and
DeSoto Airflows. Guess it's a speed thing. LOL

"So.. what did u end up giving for it?"

I didn't buy it cowdog.
If it would have had the right parts I probably would have.

The Love wasn't for sale that I know of Jim. Just the 9N.
I'd really like to have a Love tractor like that though!

Hey Royse you better tell the owner to put his glasses on cause #1442 is sitting in my back yard.

Lawson-
The two holes near the ammeter were, one for the ignition "ON" lamp and the other was for a light switch. The RH dash Panel would have the ignition key switch too. Note the hydraulic oil dipstick on the shifter cover too -all signs of an early 9N. No parts listed in the 1400 range so he can't be looking at a part fro the s/n. I may be a casting part number.

I may have heard him wrong Kirk. Obviously if you have 1442, he does not.
By the time he told me the serial number, I had already decided to pass.
Not enough "39" there for the money to me. He had just bought it.
I wish I had gotten a picture of the For Sale sign with his number to pass on.
