Yes he was one of a kind he always took time to talk me through issues he was a mentor to all on the N boards he will be missed... I used one of his inventions this past week and one of his HOT tips on N hydraulics. He will leave behind great memory's he will not be forgotten... I believe I brought every Ford tool/position control/live hydraulic conversion he made just to see it in person. It was a honor to have known him rest in peace my friend...

I'm so sorry to hear that. He was a good contributor here and will be missed. Do you have any intentions on keeping his product "The Zane Thang" available?

I never purchased one because I never had a 9N or 2N but from everyone here who had purchased one, I hear that they work perfectly. It would be a shame if they were no longer available.

I did purchase his 3 point adjustment jig and was happy with that.

My condolences Lisa. While attending an event at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in 09/2015, I stopped in and visited the man whose wisdom I appreciated, and make a purchase ( no shipping).

I am sorry you lost your daddy Lisa.
I am sorry for these forums too. We have lost a true tractor guru, great mentor and online friend.

I'm too new to this forum, so I never had the pleasure to know Zane, but from what everyone is saying it is a double loss for me.

I would like to express our deepest condolences from those of us at Yesterday's Tractors during your time of mourning.

Zane was a real pillar of the N-series community. You are right about how great a man he was. I'm sure you must know, that thousands upon thousands of people have benefited from his knowledge and help.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Lisa. It was very thoughtful of you to take the time to inform us of Zane passing. He had many friends here even though the large majority of us never met him.

Mark

Such sad news. Zane was such a help to this world of old Ford tractors. He will be missed for sure.

Go with God Zane.

May God bless your family. Thank you for letting us know. I purchased one of Zanes "thangs" earlier this year, and Zane had all the time in the world to talk me through it.

A heart wrenching loss. My condolences to you and your family. I am fortunate to have had e-mails with Zane when I bought the "Zane Thang" and his "Zane Jig" for 8N and NAA hydraulic adjust along with the cam pins.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for posting the information of your Dad, A truly great knowledgeable person
always so glad to share with other's the expertise of many years working on machinery. Zane's mind never gave up with the ability to have nice sensible conversation's to make repairs on old vehicles. To Zane that was a great challenge to make a tractor work again.
I can never recall of Zane not being nice and understanding to everyone on this board.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in Peace and May Light Perputal Shine upon them. Rest in Peace My Friend, Murray, (East Coast of Canada)

So sorry for your loss. He was one of the sources I relied on for tractor advice. Even thought I never met him, I respected his knowledge on these old tractors, and I am sure he was a wonderful father as well. My condolence to you and your family. May he rest in peace.

Thank you for letting us know.

I never met your father but I did exchange a few emails with him. He always seemed to be able to look at the bright side of things and it was always a pleasure to interface with him. I'm sure that I can speak for the group and say that he was an inspiration to us all and he will be missed.

I wish you and your family members the best and please accept my personal condolences.

Sorry for your loss Lisa. I've always been impressed with your fathers inventions. Zane, you left a indelible mark here, rest easy.

I?m very sorry for your loss. As so many have said here, your father?s work has helped people across thousands of miles. Our first tractor was an N and it was from reading your father?s shared wisdom that I learned how that tractor was designed and operated. I was also an early buyer of one of his Zane Things. Though we?ve moved on to a larger tractor, our N - with your father?s device - is still in use at our folks? place.

May the words expressed by all of us offer some solace.

Iam sorry to hear of his passing. His was one of the first posts I read Many years ago when I first found this forum He has gone on to where we all must go someday and I know he was received honorably.

Your father helped me, I enjoyed his posts, he will be greatly missed as others have mentioned, he helped so many of us.
