I am working on "51" 8N and have removed the lift assy.,and found excessive ware in the lift shaft bushings.
I want to replace the bushings with new, but have questions about the shaft removal and replacement.
I have looked at several pictures and see the center spline is larger, is that correct?. If that is true how would you go about removing.
Next question, how to size the bushings, the way I know is press in the new one ream to size for the shaft, but if the center spline is larger how is the assembly put together?.
