Interesting Jubilee

I'm not seeing an Everett trans which most of these units came with? Looks like some sort of chained gear on back side of the wheels. I guess he don't know the difference between the snowplow blade and the dozer blade. It is interesting.

Was probably used by a utility company (gas or water dept) back in the day. When I started to work with Gas Company in 79 we had an old Ford 2000 (about 65, 66 model) that was set up just like that with blade on front and trencher in the back. Don?t know whatever became of it as the company had already bought a DitchWitch to replace it with before I hired on...

It may have been ok in the 50's but the only thing worse to fill in a ditch or dig one for that matter would be a shovel.

The trencher was built by Blackhawk it is driven with chains to the rear wheels with a big sprocket attached to the rim, speed is controlled
by a racket system, it will dig 6ft deep the trencher is driven with a Ford pulley gear box with double V belts

It works like a racket and you can set it to go one notch-two notch-up to four, the more notches the faster it moves

Thanks for your reply. I have never seen what you describe, I once bought a 52 8n with the blackhawk trencher on it, but the part you describe was missing. I took the trencher off the tractor shortly after I bought it, but I always wondered how it moved while trenching. My pulley had double roller chain on it, and a v belt running the hydraulic pump.
