how do I reassemble my ORC inner pc to outer?

Beautiful day here in Illinois and was going to do some mowing. Engaged the pto on the mower and the outer part of the ORC came flying off of
the inner part. The inner part with the gear remained on the tractor with the roll pin intact. I did find two flat pcs of stock which
obviously go into the two keyways on either side of the inner gear piece. I don't however know how to face them in the slots. They have one
side that is a little offset while the other side is flat. I don't see anything broken but cannot figure out what holds the outer shell of
the ORC onto the inner gear piece. The roll pin is intact and is a 5/16 X2 inch pin and it clearly holds the gear piece in place. But what on
earth holds the outer spline piece on to inner piece?

Sounds like springs, snap-ring & washer are missing.

Don't know what company manufactured your ORC, but here is a detailed pic. of the one I had. (Loaned mine out, and never got it back!!)

thankyou for taking the time to post the picture, thats exactly like mine. I see now that the snap ring holds the two pcs together. Mine snap
ring must have gone flying somewhere. I could probably find a snap ring. Bummer is I don't have the springs as they must have got tossed out
into the pasture. Anyone know where to get the springs?

ot me, Gary, I would just buy a new one. Further more, I would & have bought the slip on type that does not make me drive out/in a greasy pin. But, I do have more $ than time remaining. :(

That was kind of my thought too. What made it fall apart? Wear/slop?
If so, putting it back together may be asking for further troubles.

hey do wear out. I have tried to put one 'good' one together from 2 or 3 non working units, but the duration of success was too shore for all the effort.

Buy a new one
not sure if I would feel safe mowing with one that was worn while high RPM
at your back side

4 good friends of mine have been killed with these things. Buy a new one, not the cheapest one you can buy. Do not risk your life.
