Pair of Ns not running

Ok I have a 9n 12v front mount distributor and an 8n 12v side mount distributor. Both have the same symptoms they were running fine then would only start and run for around 30 secs then die. Carburetors have been gone thru as well as screens and fuel lines. I have good flow. Spark has been checked and is good on both tractors spark good strong blue arc across 1/4" gap. Compression has been checked 9n 1-4 145,145,160,155 8n was 100 on all 4. And if trying to crank if chiked the intake will show fuel. Both will try to start and will sputter slightly but will not run. I am at a loss i have went over everything and cant figure it out.

f you have fuel, spark and compression it should run, you are missing something. check everything again.those 9n compression readings are higher than when new, something not right there. You say you have good fuel flow, but will they fill a pint jar in 2 to 3 minutes THRU the carb, pull plug in bottom of carb to check.

Possibly tgey have happened about a month apart. But one is my tractor and the other is a neighbors we use the same gas station.

Mine did this when I first got it. The float valve was stuck shut. A couple of raps on the float bowl solved the fuel flow issue.

That said, if both the carbs are flowing fuel it may be the fuel itself. I'd drain a tank and fill it with known, non-ethanol fuel and see if it will run.
