Distributor insulator problem 2n/8n

I have a Frankenstein which appears to be a 1944 or later 2N with an 8N engine. Tonight I took my distributor apart, cleaned the advance
weights, cleaned the rust off the base plate, etc. I replaced the points and condenser as well. In the process I damaged the insulator
washers(?) where the coil connects to the points via the brass screw (see photo). I was able to reshape a fiber washer and it checks out okay
with an ohmmeter but I don't really trust my work; I'd rather replace those insulators with something more correct. Any suggestions?

Edit: in the photo I attached, the insulator appears to be much more substantial than what I encountered. I found two very thin pieces of fiber or even some type of cardboard. Obviously they worked until I laid hands on them and they crumbled to dust.
