Turned on the TV (to watch with lunch) and it was on TCM - movie 'Summer Stock'
-Gene Kelly & Judy Garland. Anyhoo she buys a new tractor and we get about 3 mins. of Judy driving the 8N down the road. Kool !

Don't know what the deal is with the earthmaster name on it other than they didn't want to pay Ford for the free advertising!

Notice that there is probably a drawbar of some kind underneath that is pulling the tractor along for most of the scene. So she doesn?t have to control it at all.

Yeah, there are a ton of vintage Ford Tractor appearances in old movies and TV shows. We have a list of several on the other N tractor site. One classic John Wayne movie, "The High and the Mighty" from 1954 shows a Ford-Ferguson Moto-Tug. It appears at the very end after they land. However, it is painted yellow as many refurbished WWII Tugs, the ones they salvaged, were during the Korean Conflict. N's appear in old and some new movies and TV shows-just have to be quick to spot and don't always appear in the foreground-look in the background. Search "Green Acres" episode, 'Never Look A Gift Horse' and the new Ford 6000.
