'48 8N Grill

My '48 8N grill has a "Ferguson System" badge on it. I haven't seen these on any 8N but have on a 9N. Are the grills between the two interchangeable?

Yes, but...9N-2N did not tilt out like the 8N and, I believe, at least one extra hole would have to be
drilled in the hood for the top center pin of the grill to fit into the hood or cut off that pin. I have
not checked the alignment of the two outside pins with the 8N hood.

You have an original late '41 9N grille with tear-drop style bars. As John stated, the 9N and 2N grilles were never movable; the 8N was the first model to offer a swing-out grille. Someone modified it to fit the doglegs. If it ain't broke.... : > )
