pressure plate bolts

My pressure plate bolts somehow got tossed out in a cleanup. Can I use regular grade 8 bolts or are the special bolts.

Skip,Well the original 5/16" bolts had a shoulder on them that fit tight in the holes on the pressure plate.That said grade 8 bolts the (right length) with grade 8 lock washers will be ok.I have seen many with regular bolts in the pressure plate that have been in there for many years with no problems.It might be different if the engine turned 8000 RPMs and the pressure plate be out of balance from being bolted up a tad out of center but at 2200 RPMs no problems.

Skip, simply GOOGLE "ARP 150-2201".

Most any speed shop will have 'em, $10.99 and up for a set of 6!

Or, if that's too $$$, GOOGLE "5/16" pressure plate bolts", and see what comes up.
