That's how they say tires around these parts. :)

The old girl ('50 8N from the serial number) needs some new shoes. Front and rear. Front shouldn't be a big deal - I've changed plenty of tires.

The rear rims are shot, too. One has a big glob of weld around the valve stem. Both rears are filled with CaCl and it's leaking. I need to pump it out.

I've read elsewhere that the pair from tuckertire on eBay are decent. 11.2x28 rims, tires, tubes mounted and delivered. I figure the cost is not bad compared to getting all the parts separately and having to mount them.

Have you any suggestions? I'm not concerned with originality, only functionality. Thanks in advance!

Just bought a pair of rears from TT. Great service and price but be ready to take a freight delivery and unload the truck. If I had not made an issue of it with the freighter they would have dispatched a full length 18 wheeler. I requested a straight truck. Best they could do wasb a single axle tractor with a 30' (???) box and lift gate. Even that was a squeeze....

If you are close to Sanford, NC I am gonna part out a N it has a nice set of tars and rims...

I have tried to beat the devil putting good tars on new rims with new tubes always I would have been better off buying the package deal new tars and rims mounted and deliver to my door...

Ya'll are a hoot!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll order a set and save myself extra headache.

Hobo, I'd take you up on that offer, but I'm a fur piece away in Oklahoma.

Installed new rears the other day. Tucker Tire came through with a nice set of new rims and tires. New fasteners from YT worked out great. Getting the CaCL2 out of the old tires was fun. Both of the old valve stems were rotten and both broke off in the adapter. Foul language was exchanged. :D

I thought about repainting the centers, but decided the original flake adds character. :) Plus I'm lazy and it's a working tractor. In my experience making something pretty is a recipe for failure.

I couldn't find any torque values in the manuals, so torqued the fasteners to 100 lb-ft.
