8n wheel weights

Assuming you are talking about wheel weights that bolt to the
outer 6 bolts that hold the rims to the centers, the bolt patterns
there are the same. The center disks will swap too, but the earlier
centers were not scalloped like the later ones.

Well, first, the 8N Models never had wheel weights for the rear wheels. Liquid (Ca Chl) was the method of ballast then. The pie weight sets, assuming these are what are talking about, didn't come out until the Hundred (600/800) Models did in 1954. Two sets were then offered -a standard set at 29 lbs. per segment and a HD set at 45 lbs. per segment. It is specified in the 600/800 Operator's Manual that the HD set was NOT to be used on the 600 model. The warning was that the rear axle was not sturdy enough to support the heavier weights. The 600 Model was a beefier tractor than the 8N. Now, all this being mentioned, I have seen both the 29 and 45 lb pie weight sets on not only 8Ns abut 9Ns and 2Ns as well (requires mounting modifications) and used for years without incident, some having never been removed. The rear wheel weight pie sets have a center mounting plate that fits all models with 28" wheels and the 8- bolt hole pattern, including the 8N, though technically the weights do not appear until the 600/800 models. The rim/tire width size has no bearing on the pie weights. 10 x 28 (11.2 x 28) or 12 x 28 -doesn't matter. It is the wheel hub and center disc 8-hole pattern that matters. Note that pie weight sets will not mount to the 9N/2N rear wheels without some modifications to accept the weight mounting plate. Me? I have a complete set of the HD (45#) wheel weights and three sets of the stud extenders but have never used them on my 8N or 9N. I prefer to just keep my 8N work 11.2 tires loaded with Beet Juice (Rim Guard ? ?).
