Early 8n coil change

Has anyone changed the the coil used on the early 8n to the style used on later side mount . If so, where can the coil be mounted. Just bought the Pertronix e/i kit with newer style coil. Thanks.
 
Tool box missing so we bolted in that spot behind the dash. Have seen them tucked inside the dog leg by the radiator, bracket on oil filter bolts, zip-tied to starter, on battery tray, nearly any place you can imagine.
 
I had some threads on a head stud and made a bracket.

Sure looks like one to me. I'm going to guess that it's for the auxiliary hydraulic pump seen between the coil and the filter.

t is a spin on filter original police will get me, but it has 12v conversion, Pentronic EI, live hydraulics( purchased from TOH ),and a aftermarket seat that saves my 75 year old back. Life is good. Now if I could figure why my phone puts pictures on here sideways.
