SawTooth 78

Having a problem with with hard starting in a 8n ford
not sure what type plugs for it it, has Autolite 216 now
may not be right type keeps fouling plugs

I use Champion H-12 (512) and AUTO-LITE 437 and have great success with both. I think the 216 number is a 437 equivalent or so.

OK - 6V/POS GRND or a 12-volt job? Fouling plugs because you are cranking and cranking and no starting? If getting fuel, the next step is to check for spark. Sounds like you ain't got it. If you got a 12V conversion, is it all wired correctly? 6V coil requires external ceramic in-line resistor, a 12V coil does not. 12V alternator? No VR, but must have the original ballast resistor, and bat should be wired negative ground.
