9N Radiator Screen

I am considering buying a radiator screen to keep all the vegetation out of my radiator. I have been using a home made one for some time now and it isn't as durable as it should be. Can anyone tell me how the one sold by YT attaches to the tractor.

Many thanks,
Mike

Four spring steel wire hooks reach through the provided holes at the corners of the screen and hook
behind the verticle grill bars. The spring wire is shaped like a cone in front of the screen to hold the
screen in place. HTH

Dennis Carpenter reproductions is the only licensed by FORD supplier who makes the grille screens and special clips -see LINK. Now, every other parts supplier buys from him, often adding a markup percentage as well. nnalert founder Don Barkley was DC's QC man when he first started repopping tractor parts. Don owns an original set of 9N blueprints of which a dozen or so copies were made for the famous lawsuit with Ferguson. nnalert also sells the DC parts and often less than Carpenter does. Be aware that there are two screens used -one covering the front of the grille and one smaller one across the bottom behind grille between the radiator. About 20 years ago I bought a screen from the late, great Palmer Fossum, who repopped them long before Carpenter did and put it on my early 8N. When Carpenter came out with his and the clips, I bought some clips but they would not fit thru the grommets on my Fossum screen so I just used wire ties.

I've had one on mine for close to 10 years got it from nnalert. Works good to keep the grass seeds from plugging the radiator.
I do seem to lose a spring clip every once and a while, probably because of the blackberry vines so I have one corner zip tied to the grill.
