Ignition test box

Ive been wanting to build a tester for my no spark or weak spark situations. I believe SoundGuy had one he said was described in an N-News Newsletter.

(quoted from post at 19:27:05 12/14/10) reminds me of my ignition test box. different build.. but a variation on a theme for sure. gets the job done.

Low tech redneck tester...

JMOR gave the number for a relay to replace the points but I lost the number..

If you don't understand spark put it in a nice plastic box add a spark plug at least it will look cool...

So this is basically control points and a control condenser that you use to see if a coil (and the things before it) are working?
 

I dunno what he does with his I rigged up mine on a wood board to test a box full of front mount coils a YT'er gave me... None of'em were good :(...

I don't see a amp meter hang'N on the box I wonder whats up with that...
