looks to have 32in rears from 39 but has hot riveted axles so it probley was a later 39 not sure about head lites might also make it later with larger generator
 
flash, where are you located??? about 12 or 15 years ago, I looked at a `39 with cast aluminum hood, dash and steering column. I had previously thought the hoods were stamped aluminum sheet metal, and was surprised to see they were cast...That tractor was in Alva; and no, it wasn`t for sale.

It's a 1940. They discontinued the smooth hubs in 1940. It also has a hooked left brake pedal which didn't come out until 1940.

Grill would be correct for '39 and '40. As you can see from the photo of my 1940 the grills didn't last long when the tractor got worked. By 1943 it was already missing a few horizontal bars and was changed out to the later style grill by about 1945.

Tom I am west of Tulsa. Grew up near Alva, There were lots of N series around. Widn't know of any with aluminium hood.
