I also have a vane pump but no plugs to check for bubbles. When checking cold, hydraulic fluid looks perfect. I have also started with changing the fluid first because I thought the milkyness was a fluid problem but turns out I think it is just airated. Start tractor up takes a minute or 2 then the hydraulics will lift (quiet). After operating lift up and down fluid looks milky(airated) and pump starts growling. No external leaks but I believe I have a suction leak somewhere. I have looked through the inspection plug and the piston in leaking ( causing slight jerk and leak down) but I don?t think this is the primary problem. Any ideas? Should I just remove the top cover to inspect or is there more checks to do first? Pump problem? Help..where do I start
