I would sell mine for 75 it may rust into before I ever use it again...

I see engine cranes on cracklist all the tine for $100 I would buy dat and add a 3 point hook up and knock out two birds with one stone...

BTW I had to move the lower pins UP :(.... and extend the top link hook up out a good bit...

I built one like the ones you can buy but I had the material on hand already to do so, and I enjoy it more cause I made it... 8)

As others have said, I would watch for a used one.
That said, dont build the darned thing too heavy.
Even a cheap, lightweight one will lift WAY more than your tractor will lift.

There are D-I-Y plans to build a lift boom on the N*T*C* site, under HOW-TO's/Implements. Curious though, what's a tow bar got to do with a boom? You can do anything you want, it is your tractor after all, but I'd say unless you already have the material and welder lying around, why not just go to a boneyard or auction and get a used one or any dealer will sell new ones. I have bought these for $25 or less at auctions.

IMHO you can buy one cheaper than you can build one. TSC has theirs on sale now for $129. I have one and have not had any problems with it.
