3-Pt. Subsoiler

A subsoiler doesn't have the wings needed to open a furrow wide enough for the conduit.

The phone company used to lay phone line underground with a spec made plow that resembled a subsoiler. The cable reel was mounted behind the plow and the cable fed down through the tip of the chisel.
 
Yes you can. Just Google subsoiler conduit pipe layer and videos from YouTube will come. Some homemade, some store bought. I guess it would also depend on your soil because in my area I can't put my subsoiler in the ground without hitting a rock
 
They make an attachment for the TSC unit, but I just tacked a piece of pipe on the backside. Make enough passes to insure you can stay all the way down all the way. Easy

that is great stuff, just what I was hoping to see.
I may need to do that in the future.

What I was doing recently is putting down some
grey pvc for the gate opener solar panel run.
I used the subsoiler to break the top grass and dry
top soil.

I remember now that the phone wire that was laid
down when I bought the property was done with a
subsoiler.
I could stand to modify above the chisel and add somewhat of a small plow to lay the dirt to the sides a little.
I was laying only 1/2" pic for about 50 feet.
There are lots of variations of what you can do with
that, I found many you tubes on it.

I made a ditch with mine to bury a gutter drain for my dad. It worked good but I had to have him stand on it so it would dig and still had to make 3 passes or something before it would stay down all they way as previously mentioned. After running the chisel point through it, I put the Lister shovel on and made a few more passes to clean out and widen the furrow so we could lay the 4" drain pipe in. It wouldn't go deep enough to get below the frost line for a water line but worked good for a drain or conduit.
