Is there suppose to be a jumper connection, drawn in here in blue, between the screw holding the Breaker arm spring to the points base going to the condenser lead connection?
 
Tom,Yes ,one can be made fron the copper strip from an old set of points if it is brolen or missing.
 

I wonder why it is not shown in the Ford diagram? Humm..
Just curious... was it a change later on or something...

t IS there in the very picture that you posted. Look closer.
 
Yes.

That was item # 3 in my checklist.

" 3. The copper strip is broken or grounded to the plate. (look very carefully for cracks & breaks) ".

I looked at that yesterday.. I couldn't determine if it was a connection there or not.. difficult to really see..

I made the connection with the copper from an old points set like Den N M's suggested. much cleaner and neater..
