The small, high tech foundry near me is
working overtime this week. They're
running a Saturday shift today.
I know the owner so he lets me come
over and use one of their sandblast
cabinets as long as I don't interrupt
production.
I showed the photo of the rims I'm
working on in a post below. Those are
too big to go into the blast cabinet;(
These are the original rim to center
bolts, nuts and washers from them.
I put them in a plastic flower pot that
has holes in the bottom and shake them
around as I blast them.
Works pretty good and saves buying new
bolts. Doing these only took about 5
minutes.
The foundry makes some pretty cool
stuff.
The last photo is of a batch of tail
fins from Army mortar rounds they are
making.
They also cast new Marvel Schebler
carbs there which I have posted about
before.
Just a Saturday morning post here that
is kinda Ford Tractor related.
Hope you all get some time in on your
tractors this weekend.
