looking for a project loader for ?49 8N

I?d like to find an inexpensive loader option for my ol gal. as I
mentioned in the title ?project?, hoping to keep the price down. I?m
located in southwest Louisiana and hoping to find something within a
few hundred miles. Any leads or solids will be greatly appreciated.

Probably farther than you want to drive (Peoria, IL area), but I have a Dearborn loader with the manure bucket I’d like to be rid of... I pulled it out of a pasture and ended up never installing it. As such, I can’t say how well or if it will work without it turning into a project - pretty sure it will need mounting brackets, too. I think one of the guys on the board makes and sells them.

If you are really looking to keep the price down you should be able to find a nice jungle Jim for free because so few guys want them.

Are you Sure you want a loader?
Here's some food for thought:
A loader will make a dreadnought out of one of these little tractors.
They will wear your front end and steering out. You'll have to cut the grill to mount your hyd pump. The tractor will be long, clunky to drive and very hard to steer.
If you buy an old cheap loader chances are your hyd valve will leak, hoses will need replaced, cylinder rods will be rusted and pitted and will leak and be expensive to repair or replace.
If you need a loader at least 50% of the time then by all means get one. But if you just need it for occasional use consider what many of us do which is use a boom pole for lifting/loading stuff and a rear scoop for hauling rocks, dirt, tools, etc.
If I had only ONE tractor it would NOT have a loader on it. Loaders really suck unless you have a lot of use for one and if I had a lot of use for one I would buy a newer tractor with power steering and dedicate it to loader work.
Leave your handy, nimble N for the tasks it was designed for - plowing, mowing, etc, etc.
