I had no idea these existed, but I liked it and it came today.Thought it would be new
to others also. Story is they were
sold for 2Ns only and the 2N
had to have the tall air intake modification and this is held on over the tall pipe with a clamp on the back bottom of this ones pipe. Anybody know what
the original color was. This one is
silver.Decal says Cyclone
Air Cleaner Instructions Air Cleaner Service Co. Glencullen,
Oregon.

I'd say since the decal hasn't been painted over it's the original color.

That is my thought also. I am a purist I really was hoping it was
2N gray. But if it was sliver I will do silver.

If it were me, and as you say you are a 'purist',....I would paint that add on, air tube and cap, the same color as your air cleaner can. Being as that is a, 'Aftermarket air piece' you are adding, it is NOT OEM anyway, SO, you can make your choice of color on it, and still make it match the air cleaner system.!!! :lol:

BTW.....Take the add-on, and blast it, so as to get a running start to getting rid of all the rust and then primer it good.......then paint it any color you like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya on the prep, I just think the 2N gray would look better.That gray color Ford used on Ns and the black on his cars is the purist in me and he was nothing fancy just a plain Jane that worked well and met the basic utility needs of his customer. I found
another aftmk ac Cyclone for 9N and 2N it is the shorter version, I
will post it when I get it.

Watch out.....yer gonna need Another 2N, if ya bought the shrt version ac tube and jar. Gets kinda carried away, buying all the fixens', don't it???? :lol: :lol:

Why is that? The through the hood pre-cleaner was
available on the 9N. Why wouldn't this fit them too?

There was also an under-hood cyclone for the ones
without the through the hood pre-cleaner option.
