Hi, all. Thought I posted this a few minutes ago, but don't see it on the board. Can anyone give me an idea how big an air compressor I'd need to fill the rear tires on my '49 8N? Thanks.

ven the tinniest compressor that will reach 12 PSI will do it..........it depends on how much time you want it to take. More CFM will be quicker.

I pumped up a rear tire on a JD model B with a bicycle pump once. That was when I was young and didn't have money for a air compressor. Later on I bought one of those tire pumps that screwed into a spark plug hole to pump up tires. It's still hanging in the garage.

I normally use 14 pounds but 12 is good. While mounting some 28" tires one time I put 45 pounds in
trying to seat the bead. I had soaped the beads and it would not seat. I got a bit scared at that
pressure and released it. Rim was a little rough. I broke the bead off again and started over. Finally
seated it with 30 pounds and then backed off to 14.

Yep I used one slightly bigger than the cigarette lighter model. Took a while but it worked. Do you have access to a compressor or are you asking about a portable air tank?
