My Governor Now Governs

I wanted to thank all of you for the advice. My tractor works great, now, that I have good parts. This new governor is perfect I even had to put the original carb linkage back on, with no bending. Since I have owned it never run this good. I did do a 12v conversion while I was waiting for the parts to come...Thanks again.
Who knows may be I'll even clean it now. javascript:emoticon('')

The first Governor was return, balls had flat spots, arms were positioned wrong on the shaft, and loose. The insert in the end of the shaft for the proof cable was loose and soon quit working.

The second governor the rifling grooves on the shaft that rests in the bushing, had a reverse cut, so while running it pumped oil up the proof cable , into the new tachometer which destroy it. The smaller of the drain hole to drain splash oil from governor back to the sump was not machine all the way through making the oil pumping even worse. The arms were positioned the same as the first. I did not realize that until I received the third american made governor.

The third governor was perfect and setup just as the book says. even put the original carb linkage back on, with no bends. She started, and governed immediately. I am soooo HAPPY

left one is correct, draws oil away from cable back to governor and sump. right one is wrong pumps oil into cable and will go into tachometer which can't do the oil.

Thanks for the update, always good when people get them working and let us know what they found wrong.
Good job getting it working right.
