My hydraulics will not hold the lift very long and knocks when I carry a load and drive at the same time. I'm not sure what the knock is about, but the sinking lift I understand to be solved by replacement of the cylinder and the rings. I have viewed Rachael's excellent video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcWtNVOxzDg ) on changing that cylinder. I think that I can do that pending fair weather and a little courage.
Is there anything else in that space that needs attention? I would not know since I have never monkeyed around with the hydraulics before. I ordered the cylinder, the gasket set and the rings for the cylinder. Rachael alludes to certain parts and why one might replace them, but nothing she mentioned seemed to apply to my tractor's health.
Would anyone care to guess what the faint knocking is when I'm pulling a load? This typically happens when I'm skidding a log.
