9N Block Heater

Who has installed a 9N block heater and where did you put it? The straight portion of the lower radiator hose on mine looks a bit short to accommodate one in that position. Is it?

I have a Katz heater in the lower radiator hose on my 8N.
It's a tight fit, but it works.

I have a head bolt heater in my 9N. It replaces a head bolt.
You do have to remove fuel tank to install tho.

Years ago when I had my 9N the block heater went in the lower radiator hose. never had a problem when I started it in the winter.

A 8N hose is a little longer to accommodate the generator on the left side and will fit your tractor...
hat's a good tip---I'll look into it! Thanks!

Katz heater in the lower radiator hose is the cheapest fastest way to go. Plug in at -20F for 30 minutes and starts like it is 40F. Now my tractor does have an old head bolt heater that is non functioning that I think worked even better but a little more involved to change. Does anyone know where to get one? If I have to take off off the hood for some reason I would consider putting one in.

hanks for the info! Someone mentioned a dip stick heater in a previous post. That rang a bell with me because I have one. I'll use it when/if necessary until it quits working.
