Split a 2n yesterday

Split the tranny on a 2n parts tractor yesterday morning at 11 degree out. No room to pull it in the garage or barn. Hard wrenching with bulky gloves on. Wanted to get it done before the snow flies
tonight. Going to use this in a '46 2n. Planning on Pulling the howard and sherman step down in the '46 and putting them up for sale.

Ditto! Exactly what I was thinking, Bill. I have chronic arthritic knees, bone-on-bone, and need new ones ASAP as well as arthritic hands -24/7 pain is nothing new. It is bad enough being out in the MINUS temps for the past 30 days or so plowing snow. I couldn't see myself tearing apart a tractor in the cold. It will be a big task in the spring when I return to my 9N project. The key is to dress warm, know the signs of frostbite, and be safe and smart.

Yea Tim dress warm and take a couple of warm up inside breaks. The longest part of the split was waiting for the fluid to drain. That stuff came out like molasses. Snowing now so I'm glad I did it yesterday.

Still kicking around. Hope you and your family are doing well. Nice to see you posting on the site. Got a 960 project if your kid wants to get into pulling.
