Can some body tell me on the very early 9ns aluminum hood was the fuel bowl all brass or was it the aluminum style with the round shut off knob thanks👀

This is one that I have that came off a early 9N. If these were used with the aluminum hood 9ns I can not say for sure but probably.

They were all brass as Del shows. They were not changed until well into 2N production, 43 or 44.

thanks del do you also know when they changed from the aluminum cover on the right hand side to the dip stick, about what serial number ?

Tim here, but late 1940 saw the transmission oil dipstick moved from the top of the shifter cover to the right side inspection cover. Have you been to John Smiths' web site? Here is the LINK below...
