8N tire chains

Knowing your location would help.
Generally though, I would watch craigslist for a used set. I see them all the time here on the Minneapolis CL. Now is not the best time to get a good deal on a used set. Just like May 1st isn't the time to buy a fishing boat :)
Also, X chains are much more effective than ladder chains as the X chains stay on top of your tires better and give you more bite.
If you are thinking about buying new maybe try tirechain.com.
I bought a new set of Duogrips from them years ago and they were outstanding.

Knowing what tires you have, 23 degree or 45 degree tire, will dictate which style chains you need.

Thanks guys. Great advice and direction as usual on this forum. Haven't been on much lately cause my 8N is running like a clock. Looks like tire chains are gonna be kinda spendy but if it's what ya need, it's what ya gotta do. Back in the 60's, we had a set on our 8N that had the cross links hooked up in the center of the tire with a ring. With those chains, that ol' N would climb trees. Further info, my tires are 11.2 with 23 degree ag bars. Thanks again!
