Dead 6V battery - maybe for good

We haven't broke the freezing point for a high temp most of this
week and my starter didn't want to turn the engine. Dead battery.
I'm going to try to level it and trickle charge it, but if it doesn't
come back I guess it doesn't owe me anything.
Maybe I should call the 800 number and ask where to buy another.

"Maybe I should call the 800 number and ask where to buy another. "

Oh Really??? Good luck with that!!!

I bought a new Kubota in 1999. The battery lasted until 2010. I went back to the dealer and asked for another 11 year battery. They gave me a
funny look!

The new 6V battery I installed when I rebuilt my 8N in 2008 lasted about two years. The replacement (purchased from our local NAPA) is still going strong (7-8 years old). I don't use a trickle charger during the winter, but do try to run the tractor occasionally and long enough to top off the charge. Seems to be working for now.

"Only 8 months old and already shot??? ;^)"

I knew someone would go there. LOL
Tag got pretty ratty in those 8 months too!
I appreciate a good sense of humor. :)

Let me know if you get ahold of them at the
800 number, and I'll buy one too!

Just got a 6v one from O'Reilly's, we'll
see how long it lasts.

Impressive! I just had to replace a NAPA battery that only lasted me 2-1/2 years. The one prior to that lasted 8 years.
