Stalling 1946 Ford 2N

Hi Folks.. Hope you can help with this. My 6 volt 46 was very hard to start, and when I did get it going it would run for 10, maybe 15 minutes then stall. Stone dead. Once it cooled it would restart. I replaced the coil, and while that made the starting much easier.. it still stalls. Any suggestions? Oh, I also replaced the spark plugs.

Thanks,

If your losing your spark replace the condenser. While the distributor is off I would replace the points.

wwtoole ,Like Bruce said ,as soon as it stops check your spark 1/4" or more.If weak or no spark it could be corroded/rusted wire connections clean them up bright and tight, bad OEM Resistor Assembly,or the ignition switch.First when it dies run a jumper wire from the negative battery post(if it still positive ground)directly to the top post of the coil and see if it starts back up.If it does disconnect the wire and run till it dies. Then jump the ignition switch and try starting it if it runs then the ignition switch is bad.Do the same step with the OEM Resistor by jumping it.If it runs with the Resistor jumped it is bad.
When it dies after checking for spark, pull the drain plug on the bottom of the carburetor bowl and check fuel flow, catch it in a jar ,flow should be a pint in around 2 minutes.

Will keep you all posted. Thought I'd throw in a picture of the old girl.
