Draining 9N radiator

I have a 1941 9N. I need to drain the radiator and am having a hard time opening the drain pettcock. Do I turn it clockwise to open? As I recall, that's what I did 15 years ago.

Thank you.

Doesn't matter. It's going to break anyway. Unless you're lucky and have an OEM petcock which is brass and has a thumb screw. Just by a replacement before you start. Or, remove the lower hose.

The petcock on my radiator turns counter clockwise to open.
Yours may be different, but that's the way mine works.
