9N/8N Rear End Swap

I would like to bolt an 8N rear/axles/hydraulic pump/lift onto a 9N transmission/engine. I have the 8N complete rear end but broken transmission casting but I want the position control and rear drawbar. I know this should bolt up no problem but how will I handle the brake/clutch pedals? Any thoughts or photos from someone that has done this?

It's getting to be a while since I worked on an N but I think if you reuse your 9N style brake and clutch pedals it will all work.
That would be a nice combo actually. You get position control and a real drawbar and I always preferred the 3 speed to the 4. The 3 speed's 2nd was perfect for mowing and discing, etc and the 3 sp had a much better reverse.
While you are in there swapping parts, consider moving your brake actuator shafts from left to right.
They are identical and I removed a significant amount of slop in my 2N clutch pivot by swapping them.
PS,
Mutts are good.

Most guys are just switching out the center housing and using the trumpets/axles off the 9n. This way you get your drawbar and hydraulic position control and still keep your brake system and the wheels/look of a 9n

I can only share that my 2N has a 8N center section with the bolt holes for drawbar but 2N hydraulics and 3 speed tranny.
I have a ZaneThang for position control.

Most guys switch out the center section and use the 9n trumpets/axles. This way you get the brakes and position control and your drawbar hook up.
