NAA Weep Hole in Bell Housing

53 NAA I have a very small oil drip exiting from the joint between bell housing and motor and another very small drip coming from at least one the 4 large bolts on the bottom of the clutch housing.
I'm assuming it's either or both rear engine seal/transmission shaft seal.
It's not real worrisome but isn't there supposed to be a cotter pin weep hole there someplace. I cannot locate it on my tractor.

Make sure some fool hasnt taken the cotter pin out and plugged the hole.My 600 has a steel plate about 5 inches square. Its held on by four bolts. In the center of the plate theres a hole with a large cotter pin that is put in from the back side then the pin is spread so its close to the plate. You should check with owner of an NAA.The cotter pin keeps the hole open so leakage from the engine or transmission wont ruin the clutch.Make sure you tractor has a vented gas cap.

Nope. No weep with cotter pin hole there unless it has been filled ground down and repainted. Not a trace there ever was one there. The only thing there is four, heavy duty, bolts in a square pattern. Probably for some FEL or snowplow frame.
I have a hunch that the bolts go right on thru the cast because that is where i'm getting the small drip. Guess I'll pull one later and see

First Time Tractor owner here. Just bought a 1954 NAA and mine is leaking a milky white fluid out of the timing inspection cover on the bell housing. I do not see a weep hole in this section but there is one back between the Transmission and the rear section. So how many weep hole should there be?

Thanks!

You’ve got a problem. First, water in your hydraulic fluid. Second, you’ve got a lot of oil on your clutch if it’s coming out the timing cover.

The one weep hole at the rear of the bell housing does cover the whole area. I’d say it’s plugged.

Sounds like time for a split.

To try to make it perfectly clear, the timing inspection cover opens into the same housing as the hole is that the cotter pin is supposed to be in. As MDParrot said you have a problem and you need to split it the NAA. No big deal. Use the Hobo NC rear housing support in order to stay safe.

Well, after further review. It appears the previous owner added about two inches more trans/hydrolic fluid than needed. I have to think that this aided to the issue. Thoughts?
