Ford 8n no lift

Looking for some help. I bought a 1950 8n and it runs and pto works but have no lift. I took the inspection covers off and looks like the pump is working fine, no leaks and no blow out of the relief valve. I drained oil and put new rings on the piston since I had it all apart. I noticed that when I move the control lever it does not move the part on the pump at the bottom. I took the top back off and when I move the lever the arm does not really move and seams too have a lot of pay when I move it by hand.

Did you check the control spring adjustments as per the Fo4 manual and have you tried moving the quadrant adjustment slide back and forth to get it to work if neither of those work you can heat and bend the lower control rod to get it there but that is the last thing to try if the manual instructions don't work. The lower rod (unknown to me) was bent on mine to compensate for a worn out cam follower pin by the previous owner and when I rebuilt my hydraulic system I had to bend the lower control rod back to its proper position to make it work right rather than buy a new one that I couldn't afford at the time, quite the learning experience for me. Hope you get it figured and fixed.....
