Moving along with projects on the 52 8N and on to the tires ... it needs both front tires replaced, but as I dug in deeper, the original rims are rather worse for wear ... one has more rust, which may require some repair along with the standard cleaning and painting ... That got me wondering whether the cost for a replacement might be less than the actual repair - I'm not a welder, so all of that would be farmed out and it's "always worse than it looks" ...
Once I pull off the tires, if I am in need of a new rim looking at this site it seems there is a 16" or 19" option ... It is currently wearing 6.00 x 16 tires ...
As for usage, this is my wife's 8N - I'm just the pit crew ... it doesn't do a lot of heavy work, she uses it to lug materials around the farm, haul water, and a very rare small plowing job - and then I clean it up for a few local parades ... so with that in mind, should I just stick with the 16 3-ribs? Or is there some advantage to the 19?
