Help Lift Control lever won't move

Hi

I have an 8N and the lift control lever won't move, or just barely. It moves approximately an inch, so if i pull up on it real hard i can lift the three point but as soon as i let go of the control lever the implement starts to lower.

I know i had not used it in a long time so i am thinking that maybe it somehow is rusted? The last time i used it it was fine and moved freely.

Not sure what to do any help or thoughts would be appreciated. I am not a mechanic so the thought of trying to take it apart scares me. Help.

I would think you'd have to figure out where it is binding.
Sounds like the 3pt actually works, so hopefully it it simply
the lever binding on the outside.
If it is, just loosening the nut and working it a bit may help.

ou need water & iron to make rust. Probably rust between quadrant tube & control shaft. Remove quadrant & tube (shaft will remain in place), clean, lube, replace. Future will be better if keep tractor dry.
