I have cracks in my shop floor 1/4" to 3/8". Can anyone recommend a good product that
works. This is inside the shop. Thanks

Sika brand self leveling caulk,,you can get it in larger tubes, the larger gun is just like a caulk gun,,and is sold at home depot for sure. You may have to get the sika on line,it is good stuff

Cement will crack. Especially if poured in one piece.
There are several good patching products, including more cement.

I clean it with Muriatic acid first. Patches stick after it's clean.
Follow all the proper safety precautions for Muriatic acid.
Good stuff, but the fumes could be deadly if not used properly.

If the cracks are deep, you can buy extruded foam "rope" (basically like a weather seal) and stuff down in the cracks so you don't have to fill so much caulk. I did this when I finished the floor in my shop, and it's still holding up well 5 years later.

The old saying is that there are two kinds of concrete. Concrete that is cracked and concrete that hasn't cracked yet.
As others have said you can fill it with a caulking material. I don't know the brand but look for butyl rubber. As Ed said, buy the foam rope and push it in first. And as Royse said, clean it wirh muratic acid first then wash it and let dry. The butyl stuff is very runny so you need to dam it on the ends or it will run out.

hat's exactly what the guy who poured my garage floor said, and whaddayaknow...he was right!
That said, there are lots of commercial buildings out there with concrete floors that AREN'T cracked - how do they do it? Better site prep? Thicker slab? More steel? Are us average Joes not willing to pay what it takes to get a floor that won't crack?

Mine was built on existing slab without proper prep, plus they used fiber mesh, which
I am not thinking is that great. My son did the slab out front over old cement, and no
cracks. He put in expansion joints, put comp roofing over any cracks, and tamped down
small fill. He learned that from old city of Seattle cement worker.

Like Larry and others have said, Sika self-leveling products. Common spec on large commercal work.
