16 inch 9N/2N front rims

I took this set to the sandblaster and had them stripped.
Primed and painted them, inside and out.
Had the tire shop put brand new 5.50 x 16 tires and tubes on them.
Then sold the last 9N/2N I had except for a parts tractor.

If I decided to sell them, what fair price would generate interest?
Been toying with the idea of getting an early 9N to restore.
Maybe I should keep them for that project if it ever materializes.
But then, it should probably have the 19 inch rims anyways.

"But then, it should probably have the 19 inch rims anyways."

Agree. Everytime I sell something like that I find I need it 6 to 12 months later. One of these days though, I am going to
have to reduce the herd.

I would not lose money on the deal worst case you can always use the tires and sale the rims to someone with a worker. I would not give you 2 cents for 19" rim arm breakers... Yes I think they look better but useless on a worker...

Cannot help you with pricing, but anyone lucky enough to get one of yours should be glad to pay premium if they only knew things would be done just right. I'm fortunate to have had two of your carbs, one for one of my two 8N's and another on a 601; and I had Hobo do rear axle replacements and complete braking repair. All of which have worked flawlessly; I don't mind paying for quality which is hard to find these days.

Looks like I will be buying a farm just north of Hastings over the next couple of years, paying 20% for option to purchase in next 24 months, so we are committed; kind of like owner financing with 0% interest.... I have my NC mountain farm up for sale. Will then be sort of neighbors with you!

Will have to come up with new name, too.

You giving up on the warm weather Jim?
Usually it works the other way around! LOL
I realize that the move will get you back up here closer to your son.
We'll be glad to have you and help you come up with a new handle.

I appreciate the vote of confidence and the compliments.
I'm glad the carbs are working out well for you.
When you get up this way again, stop by any time!

Thanks Hobo, I don't think I'll lose any money on them.
I have quite a few 9N/2N hubs, so if I really wanted to
use them I could put those hubs on an 8N.
But the rims are 9N gray. That just wouldn't look right. :D 8)

"I am going to have to reduce the herd."

I was trying to do that this year, didn't work out so well.
Or maybe it did. Depends on your point of view I guess.
I ended up with more tractors either way.

I don't know what I'd ask for them Royse. I do know if I was going to restore an early 9N I surely wouldn't put them on it. Also, I do not understand the comment 19" being 'arm breakers'...wtf??? Steering? That's why God made left and right brakes for...

I'd keep em Royce.
Every time I sell any tire, soon after I need them.
Just sold some 6.50-16's at a hundred apiece (newer tires)
as they were a little big......within days I picked up a 4cyl light industrial 2000....now I need those 6.50's...sigh

not only 8n's...2 of my NAA's wear 9N hubs and 16" tires just like yours. Same spindles.
Wish they would fit my Hundred series, but the Hundred series spindles are a little bigger.

Royce; I would advertise them for a few weeks with reasonable offers accepted.. If no bites or reasonable offer, advertise the wheels and
tires separately. I could use a new pair of 5.50-16 tires on my WD45 allis. Sadly, I believe the postage on the e-mail would be cost
negative.. There has to be someone close by that could use Your tires.. The rims; less so unless they have a tractor they will work on.
