? for Ken(Ark) about gutting coil and replacing it

"I have gutted my coils and run a no resistor needed round can coil ." Quoted from Ken(Ark) in a previous post.
Ken would you explain how to do this on the front mount distributor coil?
Thanks,

I am working on an 8N right now that has a lot easier way of going with a round can coil. I don't know who did it but he just ground a gap in the left side bottom of the square coil for the high tension wire to go to the rotor and a smaller notch in the left side for the wire to go to the ignition points and mounted the condenser on the round can coil where the points wire connects. Lots of long blue fire and easy starting with no resistor to deal with
Next time I do one that's the way I'm going to do it.
