Sorry for the dark pictures, sitting in my recliner with a cold beverage, just got off work and it's pouring down rain and dark out in the barn, will put it on tomorrow and give everyone an update on how the cheap Amazon carb works out on a 2N

I hope it works out well.

Obviously these old Fords are not worked like they once were.
If they were, I don't think the material would hold up to 60+
years of it like the original Marvel Scheblers have done.

If they work well they're a cheap replacement for anyone who
wants to sell an original M/S to a guy who's restoring a tractor,

(quoted from post at 06:08:48 08/11/17) Anxious to know..I woulda done the same thing if I needed one--

You would'a done it for the free shipping... I ware out Amazon Prime but it does come at a price...

I'm thinking more along the lines of running the cheap carb while the M/S is out for a quality rebuild from a well trained carb man ~grinz~

I've rebuilt several tractor carbs over the years, never had a problem with one, easy peasy to do, but the original carb on the 2N is beyond repair, the bottom half of the carb where the main nozzle threads into is broken, jb weld and epoxy was both used in attempt to save it but didn't work, tried to repair a chip in it and then dicovered a crack, bottom half of carb no good, have several old carbs and could have put another on but wanted to spend some money and see what one if these cheap carbs is capable of

Success, just put carburetor on, made adjustments to both needles before bolting on, and Shazam......
The old gal purrs like a kitten again, I highly recommend ya'll try one of these cheap $58.98 (free shipping) carbs from Amazon, don't let the price and the diehard tractor enthusiasts scare you away from them, this one works flawlessly.

The new carb came with 2 new studs and nuts but I didn't use them, I used the 2 bolts off of the old carb for installation

Exactly what I did. I think it was GB that rebuilt my M/S carb and did a great job.

Gary has done a lot of them over the years Cary so he may well have.
I also rebuilt one for you in August of 2015. A 241B.
Hope they're all working out well! :)

Royce Always a gentlman ---- May I read between your lines? I say to each his own. I got a better deal at half price, even if it needs a kit still a better deal as
I would have had the fun of R/R. $30 on line free shipping, broke it in half checked it out------ all there and clean, fired it up works good Made in the USA Too. Did need a choke return spring.

Not really anything to read there WW2N.
I believe the originals are more durable and work better, longer.
I think I made that clear.

I've had trouble with the aftermarkets needing frequent
readjustments to keep them running correctly.
And it's not because the adjustments change, they are still set
where they were at the previous adjustment. Maybe they warp
with heat or some such thing, I can't say for sure.

But if a $59 carb works when one is missing, then it works.

If you need that spring, let me know and I'll send you one.
I have a bunch of them. New and used.

Good info--Thanks-I might buy one to add to my collection-I have 3 or four MS carbs rebuilt and ready to bolt on and a new Zenith carb.
